"The Summit" (2)
This is the largest parcel at Rainbow Reef Beach Estates and its boundaries
contain the highest point on the entire Estate. The parcel faces
east-southeast. A seasonal creek with small waterfalls runs the length
of this parcel. Palms and raintrees grace its lowlands. The meadow rises
gently to an excellent building site. Then the land mounts ruggedly to a
high open slope (also a potential building site for a studio or gazebo)
with a magnificent 360' panorama of the neighboring islands, the open sea
and the mountains behind the Estate. Some of the best snorkeling in the
lagoon begins along the coral banks that run in front of this parcel.
"Coconut Necklace" (3)
Facing east-southeast, this beautiful large parcel has115 feet of excellent
beach frontage. Its wide foreshore meadow has a ring of mature coconut
palms which gives the parcel its Fijian name, "Salusalu ni Niu" ('Coconut
Necklace'). There are also several huge and stately raintrees in the
meadow. Behind the meadow, there is an elevated long shelf, running almost
the full width of the parcel and about 40 feet in depth. The shelf is
about 150 feet from the beach and about 10 to 15 feet higher than the
foreshore meadow. It offers an ideal building site with its elevated view
out to the lagoon and the sea and the Island of Taveuni beyond.
"Abundant Flowers" (5)
Located next to the huge, welcoming Banyan tree and the best swimming, this is a beautiful parcel. Its superb stretch of beach and its broad meadow, shaded by large raintrees, enjoy a constant light breeze. At the back of the meadow, the parcel climbs to a small knoll with a very large raintree. Then the parcel mounts more steeply to the ridge. The view from this south-facing parcel encompasses the entire lagoon, the reef and sea and Taveuni in the distance.
"Home of the Dove" (6)
This parcel faces south and has superb beach frontage. Its broad foreshore meadow has stately raintrees shading its building site, as it rises gently. Then it mounts steeply to the ridge. It has sweeping views of the lagoon, the reef and sea, and the southern end of Taveuni. We call this parcel "Vale ni Ruve" for the wild doves living here.
"Beautiful Beach" (7)
This parcel has some of the best beach at the property, with wide views across the lagoon out to Rainbow Reef and Taveuni and the open sea. Its foreshore meadow is deep and beautiful, with large raintrees and citrus trees, then this parcel mounts sharply to the ridge. A truly special parcel!
"Kingfisher's Perch" (8)
This is a particularly beautiful parcel distinguished by its 106-foot long beach frontage. It faces south with a broad view to the Island of Taveuni, the reef and open sea, and the horizon. Its beach is exceptional in quality. It has a deep foreshore meadow, perfect for a home site, then climbs to a small intermediate hilltop offering a small house site or guest cottage site. Then the parcel mounts steeply to the back ridge. Little blue kingfishers, called 'lelewai' in Fijiian, often perch on the foreshore and fish in the lagoon.
"Vau Tree Beach" (10)
Behind its pristine white-sand beach, the parcel has a deep foreshore meadow with a small gentle rise at the back, then steep jungle-laden hillsides above. A constant soft breeze freshens the meadow. Facing south-west, the parcel has sweeping views to the southern tip of the island of Taveuni, and to Rainbow Reef and then the open sea and horizon. A large beautiful 'Vau' tree (wild hibiscus) shades a portion of the foreshore, right at the beach.
"Big Views" (11)
This is the most unique parcel at the Beach Estates. Two acres in size, this parcel faces southwest. It has 100 feet of excellent beach frontage with a large broad meadow behind the beach. Then the parcel mounts gently to a large plateau, shaded by two of the oldest and most beautiful raintrees at the Beach Estates. This plateau, unique to Parcel 11, is about two stories higher than the primary building site on the foreshore meadow and provides an excellent second elevated and more private building site. The parcel has a sweeping view of the lagoon, the southern end of Taveuni and the open sea with breakers on Rainbow Reef. At the top of the parcel, after a brief climb to the ridge, there is a hilltop lookout with a panoramic 360o view, also unique to this parcel. Because of its three ascending tiers, its privacy, and its high beautiful views, Parcell 11 is in a class by itself.
"Private Seashore" (13)
This exceptional western-facing parcel stretches along 500 feet of shoreline, beginning with a white sand beach and transitioning to coral and volcanic tidepools. It is an extremely private and beautiful hillside parcel, with a lovely building site in the meadow behind the sandy beach.
The snorkeling over the live coral banks which lie in front of this shore is truly wonderful. The view across the lagoon to the sunset is spectacular. A very special and secluded parcel.
